I am starting this blog with the idea that I am a relatively new ESL teacher and have been at times desperate for resources to used with my low-intermediate ESL students. Other times I have been inundated with resources so in an attempt to organize myself a little better, and maybe even help some other teachers out there, I intend to start adding posts of resources that I think are valuable for low-intermediate students.

I teach at a community college where funding is limited as is the case for most teachers working with adult immigrants and refugees to the United States. I am fortunate to be working with amazing people at my college who have made my first quarter teaching an excellent experience. Even so, scrounging up books can difficult and ordering new materials is almost unheard of.

However, there are vast resources available for free on the internet thanks to other educators! The challenge becomes finding something that fits the needs of my low-intermediate students and relates to the learning objectives we are working on. I hope that this blow will allow me to focus on the resources that I find most useful so that I can reuse these in the future with minimal effort to locate them again. I also hope it might be useful information for other teachers!

Cheers!
